lyrics
I pissed myself right out of town
Yeah I drove myself down, boy.
I passed out in my mama's car
New Year's Eve with the engine on, boy.
Threw up in the center counsel,
woke up with the sun beating down, god
I'm blessed I didn't get another DUI.
When I turned 21,
I went to the liquor store, boy.
I grabbed me a bottle, went to the counter,
and when he ID'd me, he said:
"It's a marathon, not a sprint, son."
"But you know I love to run, Pa."
So I grabbed my bag and split.
For the next nine years,
I drank enough to stumble my way home alone.
But not to pass up the gas station
for my midnight mistress.
Smokin, now she's choke,
Wait up. Now I'm falling down.
I can't seem to get the smell off her off my fingers.
The strange thing is when you come to love
the stink and the blindness
as if it were cozier than the
warm and holy guided.
Best to keep a broom handy
if you drink the lord's brandy.
It's butterscotch taste is Yummy.
